The Durning String Band is a volunteer family-oriented and co-ed musical organization that participates in the world-famous Mummers Day Parade held annually on New Year’s Day in Philadelphia, PA.
The Durning String Band has been active in the Mummer’s Parade Celebration since 1935, but is also active in numerous regional parades, celebrations, and private events and affairs.
We bring a unique blend of creativity and fun
Our band is proud to have been regularly recognized as one of the top ten performers in the Mummer’s Day Parade. We create a fanciful, fun atmosphere at all of our performances and a family-friendly environment.
